Tags comply with the Order of May 6, 2019 replacing the Order of November 23, 1987 relating to the safety of ships (division 240) for a responsible and safe practice of your passions which provides: Windsurfing boards include an identifier of the person, natural or legal, who is the owner and allows them to be contacted. This identifier, in characters of at least one centimeter in height, must be written on the sail or on a support which is integral with it. It must consist either of the name or the telephone or electronic contact details of the owner or of several of these identifiers.

Article 240-2.11 of the decree of 23 November 1987, as amended, provides:

Conditions of use for windsurfing boards, kiteboards and motorized waterboards

Windsurfing boards have an identifier for the individual or legal entity that owns them and allows them to be contacted. This identifier, in characters at least one centimeter high, must be written on the sail or on a support attached to it.
